The use of hand sanitiser has become a staple of our day to day lives in 2020. Not only has it become the norm to see hand sanitiser stationed in public places such as shops and gyms, but it has also become common for people to carry around pocket-sized bottles<\/a> for when they\u2019re on the go.<\/p>\n So, when is the right time to use hand sanitiser? Ideally, you should use hot water and soap to remove germs, bacteria and viruses from your hands. However, we all know that this isn\u2019t always an option, meaning a good quality, alcohol-based sanitiser can fill in for when you\u2019re out and about.<\/p>\n The alcohol content is the most important factor when deciding what product to use. For a sanitiser to be effective it must contain at least 70% alcohol. At Zidac, we recently released a hospital grade sanitiser<\/a> which contains 78% alcohol and is our strongest sanitiser to date.<\/p>\n It can be tempting to be overly generous with the amount of gel you use, but all this is doing is wasting sanitiser.<\/p>\n A coin-sized amount is usually enough to cover both hands and kill any lurking germs or bacteria.<\/p>\n When applying hand sanitiser, be as thorough as possible.<\/p>\n Remove any visible organic matter such as dirt from your hands before you use the sanitiser. Coat your palms, fingers and between your fingers and knuckles with product, rub in for around 20 seconds and then leave to dry.<\/p>\n Sanitiser does not work like soap so don\u2019t wash it off!<\/p>\n When not in use, hand sanitiser should be kept in a cool, dry location, away from children.<\/p>\n Remember to look out for expiry dates, as they do go off eventually and may not be as effective.<\/p>\n By following these tips, you\u2019ll get the best out of your product.
